Update:  March 29, 2004 0500 EST

Only 80 hours to launch time!!  Things are really hectic here and I don't have much time to document progress for this site, so I created the "closing-up" page as a catch-all for various photos.
We're working 7 day weeks and I've spent 9-11 hours at the site daily.  Our schedule is really tight but I'm convinced that we will launch on time.  The weather is unseasonably dry which expedites curing of all the laminations.  Urethane painting of the temporary pilothouse floor, seen at right, will commence this morning.  Other temporary floors in the workshop and machinery room will get similar treatment.

NASA launched yet another rocket at 12:53 pm last Saturday afternoon.  We grabbed some drive-thru burgers then watched the launch from the west side of the Banana River, just 1.2 miles from the launch pad.  Our round-trip time for this "rocket lunch" was 55 minutes.  Pretty cool, huh?

My next update will be posted after christening of the "white hull' on Thursday.  We must launch her empty, due to weight and draft constraints,  since the river level is very low.  I will have my hands full during the event so training others in the use of digital cameras is also underway.  This is Daniel's first-ever digital photograph.  Notice how it captures the neatness and organization of the project site.  Everything looks ready-to-launch :)

Moving all the stuff aboard next weekend could be quite a chore if it wasn't so much fun!

RSVP if you can attend the SEDATION 4 christening.
